Halfway through 2023, burnout still smolders. Just when firms thought that the COVID crunch was letting up, the economy started to falter. There’s still a talent shortage in accounting, but hiring is at a measured pace, and workloads may not be easing as many had hoped.
Sabbaticals are ascendant, with 48% of firms in the MOVE Project now offering them, compared to 28% in 2021. SAPRO has gone all in on sabbaticals, with as many as 187 employees—10% of its workforce—on sabbatical in summer 2022. In this webinar, SAPRO Executive Vice President of Global Strategic Partnership, Mary Maguire, outlines the takeaways for designing short sabbaticals as a burnout vaccine.
